This past September, I got a sense of what the tension and atmosphere for everyone present at the venue must feel like when I attended the IGT-PGM Championship which adopted the same format. My nationalism arose watching our country’s professionals go up against the Malaysian team. It was an exhilarating event for spectators and a new lesson for our pros who are used to stroke play format. In this edition, we’ve taken an in-depth look at how the second tournament of this annual championship unfolded. Earlier this year, we covered Justin Thomas in one of our international tour professional profiles. We could see he was on the rise following two successive titles in January, and we predicted big things for this 24-year-old. He’s proved our predictions right and gone beyond what some people believed he could by winning five PGA Tour titles, including a major. Closing the season, Thomas claimed the FedEx Cup bonus of US$ 10 million by topping the point rankings plus US$945,000 for finishing T2 in the Tour Championship. Not a bad year at all! We’ve got more details on his mega-year inside. We’ve also got plenty more interesting things inside, including the great news announced by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) about the 2024 Games, a peek at a paradise golf destination, and golf tips to help you on the course.Although the year’s drawing to a close, there are still plenty of events in the golf world, both here and abroad, before the holiday season. We’ll always provide you with news and features to add to your knowledge. Enjoy your reading.OB Golf & Lifestyle Magazine is published bi-monthly by PT Visi Prima Golf.
